Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Half English mixed with Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor Joy also has 4 brothers and sisters, with one coming in each parent's prior marriages. Family resided at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and after which they moved to the Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy stated she was traumatic, and refused to pursue a degree in English because she hoped to go back to Argentina. She had to switch schools from Northlands and then Hill House. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in plays. In her 16th year she left school to pursue a profession acting full-time. Taylor-Joy's desire to be an actor started at a young, age. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first one who hired her as a professional model.
