Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro OcasioRuiz (born on 10 January 1993), known professionally as Rauw Alejandro, is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. The name is often referred to as the "King of the New Reggaeton",[2][3the singer is part of "the younger generation" of Puerto Rican urban musicians. The debut album, Afrodisiaco, was released in the month of November in 2020. The album he followed with his second studio album Vice Versa was released in June 2021, featured the lead single "Todo de Ti". Two Latin Grammy Awards have been won by him from 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Ocasio was born on the 10th of January, 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. [4][5] His father, guitarist Raul Ocasio and his mother singer Maria Nelly Ruiz, introduced him to his music influences, including Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson as well as Chris Brown. In the past, for a long time, Alejandro and his father resided in the continental United States, mainly Miami and New York City, where he was influenced by the R&B and dancehall genres. Alejandro and Anuel who was a other Puerto Rican rapper, were close friends from childhood. They both attended the same school and shared classes. [9][10] Alejandro was a skilled dancer when he was a kid and participated in talent shows. He attended the University of Puerto Rico after he graduated high school. From the age of six until the age of twenty playing soccer, he was a player, but then he decided to quit because he "could not perform as well as was expected to" and suffered an injury when he was 20. Then he moved to Orlando in hopes of being sought out by the Premier Development League (PDL). Rauw Alejandro's style of music is Latin R&B and reggaeton. He also likes dance music and rhythmic pop. Billboard stated that his music "set his music apart" from the burgeoning group of Reggaetoneros with a pop-leaning.
